  4. Hello Everyone!  This is the UPDATE to my Old file!  I was VERY
  5. surprised at the amount of people that wanted this file!  It went
  6. world wide in about 3-4 days and I was getting about 20 messages
  7. a day about the file.  I haven't gotten ANY complaints about this
  8. file which also surprised me!  Seeing how everyone liked it a
  9. local Sys0p (Harry Sounders) suggested that I should make an
  10. update.  And if you wondered how to rob the bank.... IT IS IN
  11. THIS FILE!  I have gotten 100+ messages regarding this subject! 
  12. And luckily one day someone in new Zealand told me
  13. (mike@welcom.gen.nz)!  Please write him and THANK him because all
  14. of you that wanted to know how to rob the bank are getting help
  15. from him!  All though you don't get much gold.  It's still a
  16. hint!  In this file there will be all of the old hints and what
  17. ever else I dug up since then.  I am not sure if all of the codes
  18. will work in all of the versions.  Someone told me that they
  19. could rob the bank in a version earlier than 3.25.  If anyone
  20. knows how to please tell me how to. I don't know of any BBS'S
  21. that have LORDcops or any other LORD addons.  So I don't know if
  22. the codes I got for the addons will work at all.  Please test
  23. them and tell me if you can get them to work.  If you have any
  24. questions, answers, anything.. write to me.

  39. Hello!  My name is Richard Troiano (Sir Cathamore) and I have
  40. been playing lord for about 1 year and play on about 10 different
  41. Sacramento BBS's.  The first time I ever used BBS's (Central Park
  42. West BBS (916-351-1476)  the first thing I did was Play a Game
  43. called Legend of the Red Dragon.  By the time I quit I was
  44. addicted to it!  I used all of my time (60 mins) playing that and
  45. other games.  Now I am the co-SysOp of that BBS and am still
  46. playing lord.  I don't like it as much as i used to!  During that
  47. year I found little bugs and things in the game (Hints).  After a
  48. while I decided to make a LORD Hint file.  I am not sure if all
  49. of these codes work.  Some I couldn't get to work in any version
  50. but I was thinking that if I didn't get a code to work a person
  51. shouldn't be in the list of losers just cuz I messed up.   So no
  52. list of losers.  If you see the word (CGTW) in front of a code it
  53. means I couldn't it get to work and might be a bogus hint, Or I
  54. didn't have the time to try it!  I know there are a few hints I
  55. missed.. I was always thinking of new stuff to put into this file
  56. so I am sure I missed a few things..  I am only human.

  59. Well Most of you know the JENNIE hint by now don't you?  Well if
  60. you don't here it is:
  61.  
  62. Go into the forest and type JENNIE.  Then it says "JENNIE? 
  63. JENNIE Garth? Define Her!"  
  64.  
  65. Here are the things I found that you can say to describe her.  
  66.  
  67. If you want to get hit Type one of these:
  68.  
  69. dung:  You get slapped and turned into a frog until you
  70. apologize.
  71.  
  72. ugly:  You get slapped, thrown from the game and when you come
  73. back you have 1 hit point!
  74.  
  75. If you want to be nice say these things:
  76.  
  77. foxy: You get 1 gem.  
  78. sexy: you get one user battle.
  79. lady: You get some gold (NOT MUCH!)
  80. fair: I'm not sure.  It says that you feel excited.
  81. hott: LOTS of hit points!
  82.  
  83. Then you can type these if you don't want anything:
  84. dumb, star, nice.

  86. On another note go to the bartender in town and change your name
  87. to these, you will get a little remark:
  88.  
  89. Barak: naw, The real Barak would decapitate you if he found out!
  90. Seth: You are not seth able!  Don't use his name in vain!
  91. Seth Able: You are not god!
  92. Turgon: haw!  Hardly, Turgon has muscles.
  93. Red Dragon:  Oh, go plauge some other land! 
  94. Dragon: you ain't Bruce Lee so get out of here!
  95. Violet:  Naw. hardly, Violet has breasts. 
  96. Bartender: naw.  The bartender is smarter than you.
  97. Chance:  Why not chance with a Rattlesnake?

  99. Here are some more hints:

  101. --(CGTW) Press P in attack mode and it will increase your chances
  102. of using power move.
  103.  
  104. -- press 2 in the main menu to go into RIP.  I just did this one. 
  105.  
  106. -- You need high spirits to do the JENNIE trick..
  107. (I forgot who wrote this to me but I couldn't find the paper that
  108. I printed with the code on.  I will be sure to put your name in
  109. the file)

  112. -- When LORD police were loaded on if you exited and entered a
  113. few times they will fine you.  But after the 4th or 5th time they
  114. will start to give you cash!
  115. (I don't have LORD cops so I don't know if this one works!)
  116.  
  117. _-- With the babe code, every level you are at the amount of gold
  118. you get is 1000 a level so it is more profitable to do babe
  119. instead of in the higher levels, where you get 30,000 a fight.
  120.  
  121. -- To enter the forest from the INN press "T".
  122.  
  123. -- In 3.25B if you find the fairies you can fly with them by
  124. holding down CTRL f l y.
  125.  
  126. -- (I couldn't get the following code to work but I have heard of
  127. it working on other BBS'S.  Maybe in certain versions it works
  128. and some it doesn't)  To become invincible rename your self
  129. starting with `b.  That's left-apostrophe "B".  You can't be
  130. attacked by other players (Well actually you can but you just
  131. can't be killed by them).

  133. --(CGTW)  Buy sticks from the weapon shop to increase strength.  
  134.

  136. -- When that old lady comes up to you in the forest and offers to
  137. heal you for one gem just say YES!!  She gives you 1 extra hit
  138. point for half the price of the bartender! This will only work if
  139. you have full hit points already.
  140.  
  141. -- There is a way to rob the bank!  Just try to!
  142.    It's later in the file!
  143.  
  144. -- Use all of your death knight attacks before you end all of
  145. your forest fights to get a higher chance of a death knight
  146. meeting!
  147.  
  148. -- Don't listen to the bard until after 2 forest fights to
  149. increase your chance of getting your bank gold doubled.
  150.  
  151. -- In the Beginning of the game where it asks you if you want to
  152. enter the realm, List players or quit press "S" for a Story by
  153. seth able. (It's about some freak!)
  154.  
  155. -- This code is for the lord store (AKA lords realm)!
  156. Enter the store and ask to buy anything.  When it asks how much
  157. you want say 100,000.  It will say that it will charge you -
  158. $xxxxxxx (A lot of cash). Agree and you will come out of the
  159. store with TONS of cash.  For example if you had 800 strength and
  160. you bought 100,000 strength you would end up with -30,000
  161. strength and about 100 mil.  To make it go positive buy another
  162. 100,000.  You will end up with 2500 strength.  But be careful
  163. though, cuz you can start to go into negative cash.  If that
  164. happens just buy or sell 100,000 forest fights until positive
  165. again.  This trick basically gives you anything you want!  You
  166. can get HUGE amounts of charm, and using the change sex option,
  167. you can marry both Seth Able and Violet.  If everyone on the BBS
  168. knows this one the game turns into COMPLETE ANARCHY!!

  170. --(CGTW) Go to turgons..  Beat your master and when you beat him
  171. and it goes to the screen that says how many hit points you get
  172. and how much strength you get.  When it says <MORE> don't press
  173. anything.  Wait 3-5 minutes and the system will kick you off. 
  174. then go back into the game.  You will be at the same level.  But
  175. you will have the next levels strength and hit points!

  178. -- In the main menu (in town) Press "1" to see the game stats. 
  179. That is a one not an "L".  Press the number one.

  187. 1. Go to the DarkCloak INN and ask the dude at the counter
  188. (Bartender) to make you a theif.
  189.  
  190. 2. Go and catch a fairy.
  191.  
  192. 3. Go to the (Y)e old bank and press 2.
  193.  
  194. 4. You will get a message saying "While the Teller isn't looking
  195. the fairy jumps out and steals ---- gp!"  I didn't get much gold,
  196. but try it!  IT WORKS!  Even if Seth Able denies it!  I just did
  197. it (3.26) about 30 mins ago!

  199. 5.  You can do this as many times as you wish but you have to
  200. have a fairy everytime.

  212. Does anyone know why some of the JENNIE codes don't work on
  213. different BBS's with the same versions.  I have encountered this
  214. before A LOT!  One BBS with 3.26 I tried some of the JENNIE codes
  215. and they all seem to work.  And then I called another and the
  216. codes didn't work but both BBS'S are running the same exact
  217. versions of LORD.  Is Seth Able making each game just a little
  218. different?  And if Seth Able reads this please write to me and
  219. tell me how you like the file!
